Our products range from the old 486's to the newest
Pentium 3's. There is no limit to what we can build. We never
keep stock because every computer we build is custom made
for each individual. There are times however when we get trade-ins,sells, etc that
mean we do have a system in stock so please feel free to write us for
availability.
We can help you in any way possible in picking the right computer
for your needs and most of the time we can cut prices in half of what
you would pay in the retail stores.
That is what is so great about building your own, you get exactly
what you want and at a cheaper price. There are a lot of choices in buying a computer and
a lot of things to consider. Let's start with processors which are the heart of your system...

Intel is the leading manufacturer of CPU's (Central Processing Units). They are
famous for their reliabilty, speed, and stamina. (No Doubt you have seen the commercials.) They have
so many different types out now that it would be best to look at their site and see for yourself. They can be located at www.intel.com If you have any questions about
the products at their site please feel free to right us.

AMD is right on the heels of Intel in the marketplace. And with the release of the Athlon series CPU's, I believe they have passed Intel. They have gotten a big reputation
in the last few years for making a good reliable processor. You can find out about their
products at www.amd.com

I have to admit that I am partial to this processor. I have the M2 333 processor
and it works great! Their have been the reports of hardware compatibility and
that cyrix processors are unstable but I have not found that to be true. Plus the best part
is that they cost about half the price of intel pentiums and about 30% cheaper than
AMD. You can find out more about the Cyrix M2 family of processors at
www.cyrix.com

The Brains!

This is a picture of a motherboard. This device truly is the brains of your computer.
Everything that goes to your computer gets plugged into this little baby here.
There are a lot of choices in considering a motherboard itself. The first is if it
is an AT style Motherboard or an ATX style. The difference between the 2 are the connectors
that put the power to the board itself. If you have an AT style board you need an AT style case
to go with it. If you have an ATX style, the case should be ATX. That part doesn't really make
a difference because the newer boards have the connectors for both types of cases.
Another part to consider (for me anyways) is what types of ram you can put into the board.
Can it hold only 168 pinn Dimm? Or can it hold both 72 or 168 pinn or only 72 pinn.
I would go for the one that can hold both types. That way you don't have to throw out your old Ram.
Another thing to consider is... "Is it upgradeable?" You don't want to go out and spend
$2000 for a 300Mhz computer if that is the fastest speed it will ever do. Times change and you
eventually will want to upgrade your processor to catch up with the times. You will want a motherboard
that can be upgraded from a 300Mhz to a 450Mhz. That way all you will have to buy in the future is a processor
instead of having to buy a new motherboard and a new processor. There are a ton of motherboard manufacturers
out there. You can go to our search page and type in "motherboard manufacturers" and it will show you just how many
there are. Some even make the boards with built-in sound and video. There are pro's and con's to this
which I would explain if you would like to write me.

Hmmmmmmmm.... what type of case do I want?
The picture above is my favorite style of case. It is a mid-tower case.
There is a lot of space in these babies. "Why is the type important?" you may ask, So let's find out.
When you choose a case the first thing you will probably want is space. There are "desktop" cases which are really
great for saving space. You can set your monitor on top of the case and it truly does save a lot of space. The one I do prefer though is
the mid-tower case. All of the computers that I have built had this style of case. (Unless otherwise told not to)
I like it because it is real easy to pop off the cover of the computer to work on it. You have several "bays" inside to set
cd-rom drives, hard drives, floppy drives, etc... You can save space with this type of case to because you can set it on the floor and keep
only the monitor, keyboard, and mouse on the desk. The drawback to this however is the fact that you have to bend down on the floor
to put in a cd or a floppy.(blech!) If you have any questions about cases please
write me and let me know.

So many parts not enough money....
Once again I have to say that the best thing about having someone build you a computer is that all you have to say is ...
"I want to do this with this computer." and then I can help you out and explain certain things of what you will need to do this.
If all you are doing on a computer is mostly accounting, you wouldn't want to spend $150 extra for a video card
that is used to play the latest games. Or $200 for a DVD-Rom drive when a $50 cd-rom drive would be just
as good for what you are doing with it. If what you use your computer for is writing e-mail, then you sure don't
need a 700Mhz processor for that. Retail stores will tell you that you need the sun and moon and stars in a computer
when all you really needed was a faster modem..lol
